The Enterprise Risk Reporting & Analytics Director is responsible for developing and enhancing a comprehensive risk management information system in an accurate, timely and reliable manner to provide risk intelligence across the enterprise, including Senior Management and the Board of Directors. The position will lead a team of risk analysts charged with defining, gathering, and processing risk data according to the Bank’s risk reporting requirements to enable the Bank to measure its performance against its risk tolerance/appetite. This includes sorting, merging, or breaking down sets of data across the Bank’s risk types defined in the Enterprise Risk Management Framework. Outcomes will include the production of analytics, visualizations, and other risk reports used by the Chief Risk Officer to identify, measure, and monitor the Bank’s risk profile. The Enterprise Risk Reporting and Analytics Director reports directly to the Chief Risk Officer and will collaborate with Shared Services, Finance, Technology Services, Operations (including Fraud), Business Units, Human Resources and other areas across the Bank to identify, aggregate, and analyze risk data. In addition, the Enterprise Risk Reporting and Analytics Director will provide data/risk system infrastructure expertise and continuously identify and evaluate process efficiencies and enhancements to areas that report into the Chief Risk Officer, including, BSA, Compliance, Cyber Security, Vendor Management, and Audit.


The duties listed below may not include all responsibilities that the person in this role may be asked to perform. Incumbent may be required to perform other related duties as assigned.

  1. Develop and enhance a risk data aggregation and reporting program aligned to the size and complexity of the Bank.
  2. Oversee data and model governance processes to ensure alignment to regulatory guidance and risk management best practices.
  3. Prepare and oversee risk-based analytics, visualizations and reports for the Enterprise Risk Management Committee, Senior Management, and the Board of Directors in close collaboration with areas of expertise noted above.
  4. Oversee and enhance the implementation and utilization of risk management systems and software, including but not limited to Vendor Management, Access Management, BSA/AML/OFAC, and the Bank’s Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) tools.
  5. Utilizing existing data infrastructure and warehouses, centrally acquire all data related to a specific risk management area while ensuring data quality, completeness, and consistency.
  6. Demonstrate expertise in the specific risk management area, including risk metrics, risk governance, as well as related data and technology infrastructure.
  7. Leverage risk and technical expertise to drive actionable insights for management through the Enterprise Risk Management processes.
  8. Collaborate with Shared Services and Technology Services to ensure that the Bank is maintaining risk management systems and infrastructure aligned to the Bank’s size, complexity, and risk profile.
  9. Drive process improvement opportunities that enhance the efficiency of the production process and the functionality of current and proposed analytical models.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the position in a satisfactory manner. Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines.

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in science, engineering; or business management, accounting, finance, economics; or related analytical fields and 10+ years of relevant analytical work experience in a financial institution
  • 5+ years experience in operational and/or enterprise risk management at a financial institution operating under the requirements of BCSB 239
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access
  • Defined skills in data, analytics, databases, and data quality management with experience in SiSense, Tableau, or PowerBI, visualization
  • Intermediate coding experience in Python, R, SAS, Stata (or related statistics packages) with complex data
  • Team first attitude and strong leadership skills
  • Strong communication, organizational & interpersonal skills
