Location: McAllen, San Antonio, or Fort Worth, Texas


The Program Manager is responsible for leading, managing and establishing enterprise-wide, cross functional critical initiatives. This position manages a variety of different types of projects including assisting with the launching new products and services, large-scale application development, systems integration, operational efficiency improvements, process reengineering, and infrastructure upgrades and deployments.

This position plays a consultative role with appropriate people, process, and tools to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.


The duties listed below may not include all responsibilities that the person in this role may be asked to perform. Incumbent may be required to perform other related duties as assigned.

• Coordinates activities between multiple projects to ensure they align with the Banks goal.
• Directs large-scale, complex projects often involving multiple internal and external constituents and partners.
• Defines and tracks project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan.
• Rigorously manages multiple projects to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed upon time, cost, and quality parameters.
• Supports the Product Owner and Channel Program Manager in managing customer expectations for project deliverables, managing stakeholder communication, and helping to implement an effective system of project governance.
• Implements and manages changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved.
• Meets with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions on services.
• Produces accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout the life cycle.
• Partners with Product and Technical leadership to assign and monitor work of technical personnel, ensuring that project steps are in alignment with business objectives, on-time and within budget.
• Work with technical leadership to identify project requirements, to identify gaps, and to orchestrate third party interactions.
• Validates financial forecasts, cost assumptions, and provides ongoing reconciliation of resources and other related project expenditures.
• Prepares and present program performance and budget reports to Executive and Senior Management team.


These specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the position in a satisfactory manner. Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines.

• 5+ years’ experience in program management or project management of multiple large, complex and cross functional projects, with emphasis on product development, systems, and technical environments
• 5+ years of leading teams in agile/scrum methodologies
• Proficient computer skills, experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Solid ability to quickly build relationships and earn the trust of sponsors and key partners
• Mobilize and motivate teams, set direction and approach, resolve conflict, deliver tough messages with grace
• Extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management tools
• Experience with and understanding of various software development methodologies, including Agile/Scrum
• Ability to execute with limited information and ambiguity
• Ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization effectively
• Sound business and technical acumen
• Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision both written and verbally
• Focused and versatile teammate that is comfortable under pressure
• Demonstrated, applied experience establishing and delivering complex projects
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• PMP or PMI-ACP certification
• Experience with Agile methodology

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in technology related field
• Knowledge of Kanbanize, Jira, Confluence, or similar technologies
• Background in the financial services industry
